About Curran Webb Ltd

In 2000 Glenn Webb set up a Health and Safety Advisory Service to provide support for small businesses to meet the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The prime intention being to assist businesses to set up Health and Safety management systems and, by assuming their Competent Person responsibility, ensure they continue to operate to the ever demanding Health and Safety Regulations.

Glenn Webb, a Chartered Engineer, has 25 year’s senior management experience in the manufacturing sector. As a former Managing Director in medium sized companies, he has held senior management responsibility for Health and Safety across a wide range of processes and job functions. Later as Regional Manager for the Prince’s Trust (Volunteers), Glenn as a qualified Risk Assessor was responsible for ensuring the operational training centres and projects undertaken met the necessary Health and Safety standards.

The business has grown successfully and now has over sixty clients retained on Health and Safety Advisor (Competent Person) contracts. These businesses include manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, transport, construction and retail.

In October 2004 Jim Curran joined Glenn, as an Associate, to help provide a wider spread of advisory services to existing clients as well as broadening the customer base.

Jim Curran, a qualified Production Engineer, has over 25 year’s experience at senior management in various manufacturing and distribution companies in the UK and Europe. As Managing Director of medium sized companies, he has been the Director responsible for Health and Safety and has taken a “hands-on” approach in implementation of improved Health and Safety management systems to reduce accidents and ensure compliance with new legislation and in liaison with insurance companies he has implemented action plans to reduce risks.
